Kupwara, Sept 19: The Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) has expressed profound grief over the demise of veteran leader and eminent academician Prof. Abdul Ghani Bhat, calling his passing an irreparable loss to the intellectual and political landscape of Jammu and Kashmir.
Vice President AIP, Advocate GN Shaheen, while visiting the bereaved family to pay homage, described Prof. Bhat as “a friend, philosopher and guide” whose knowledge-based wisdom was unmatched and a guiding light in contemporary times.
“The nation has lost a leader who always stood by principles, with clarity of vision and purpose for a cause,” Shaheen said, remembering him as a statesman, academician, astute politician, eloquent speaker, and serious thinker with mastery over multiple languages, including English, Urdu, Persian, and Arabic.
Shaheen said Prof. Bhat’s articulation, tactical strategies, and intellectual depth set him apart as one of the most respected voices of the era. “His demise has left a void that will be hard to fill,” he added.
Praying for eternal peace to the departed soul, Shaheen said, “May Allah grant Prof. Abdul Ghani Bhat the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous.”
