Handwara, Sept 16 (TKG): Two Army personnel sustained injuries in a road accident in Udipora Langate area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Wednesday late afternoon, officials said.
The injured soldiers were rushed to Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara for immediate treatment. However, one of them, stated to be in a critical condition, was later referred to Badami Bagh Cantonment Hospital in Srinagar for advanced medical care.
Local sources said the accident created panic in the area, following which security forces and locals rushed to the spot to provide assistance.
The exact cause of the accident is yet to be officially confirmed. Authorities said further details are awaited.
